Ductless Systems

Ductless Systems involve the installation, repair, and maintenance of mini-split and multi-split heating and cooling systems that deliver conditioned air directly to individual spaces without the need for ductwork — making them a versatile solution across commercial, residential, and multi-unit applications. This growing and increasingly popular scope of work covers:
  • System Types – Single-zone mini-splits, multi-zone multi-splits, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, ceiling cassettes, concealed air handlers, wall-mounted units, and floor-mounted units
  • Applications – Server rooms, offices, retail spaces, restaurants, medical suites, tenant improvements, additions, historic buildings, and any space where ducted systems are impractical or cost-prohibitive
  • Installation – Mounting indoor and outdoor units, running refrigerant lineset, electrical wiring, condensate drain lines, and communication wiring between indoor and outdoor equipment
  • Refrigerant Handling – Proper brazing, leak testing, evacuation, and charging of refrigerant systems in compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations
  • Multi-Zone Systems – Installing and commissioning multiple indoor units connected to a single outdoor condenser, each independently controlled for comfort and energy efficiency
  • VRF Systems – Large-scale ductless systems capable of serving entire commercial buildings with simultaneous heating and cooling in different zones through advanced refrigerant management
  • Controls & Integration – Configuring wired and wireless controllers, remote access systems, and integration with building automation systems (BAS) where required
  • Energy Efficiency – Ductless systems offer high SEER and HSPF ratings, inverter-driven compressors, and zone-by-zone control that significantly reduces energy waste compared to traditional ducted systems
  • Code & Compliance – Meeting manufacturer installation requirements, local mechanical codes, refrigerant containment regulations, and energy efficiency standards

Ductless system work requires factory training, refrigerant certification, attention to detail, and strong electrical knowledge — as improper installation directly impacts system efficiency, equipment longevity, and occupant comfort.

Your technician is very knowledgeable and professional, and great at explaining. Great to have him remember very specific details of his last visit six months ago to check on the A/C.

We have used Forced Aire before in the past, and so does my family. We know the technicians by name, and count on them to be thorough, informative, and affordable. It keeps my mind at ease to know Forced Aire is my local HVAC company. I can count on them being courteous, and professional, they even covered their work boots when they entered my home.
